So we got word that I've been accepted to Mayo Clinic! Yay! We're heading there (to Minnesota) on Monday to hopefully figure out what's been going on with my stomach for so long, but of course, that'll be during the Papertrey Countdown. (Apparently all medical appointments and/or surgeries at our house, must happen during the Papertrey Countdown! Haha.) Not to worry though, all of my Countdown posts are scheduled and ready to go for while we're gone so you won't miss out on any of the fun!
We don't know how long we'll be there since it will depend on how many tests they need to run and how long it'll take for them to figure things out, so if you want to follow along on twitter or instagram, I'll be posting updates while we're gone so you can keep up with us. (Links below) Hopefully we won't have to stay long! We would so appreciate your prayers while we're away, that the doctors will be able to figure this thing out, and hopefully, that it'll be something easily fixable! It would be lovely if I didn't have to have food restrictions for the rest of my life, especially since eliminating specific types of foods hasn't helped yet anyway!
My sweet sister and her hubby are so wonderful... they'll be staying with Windsor until we get back, which we're so grateful for! And Windsor will get to spend lots of time with his little "cousin", Benji! ;) Those two will wear each other out, I'm sure!
The Mayo paperwork said to be sure to bring along some things to keep us entertained between appointments, so I'll have my Kindle and my crocheted afghan to work on. Who knows....maybe I'll finish it while we're there!
hopeful - that they'll be able to figure this out and fix it and that I'll finally feel WELL again.
excited - I mean, we're going on a road trip so it'll be an adventure with my hottie hubs if nothing else! Ha.
grateful - for the opportunity to go, and for the interactions that I've already had with Mayo Clinic, both over the phone and via the mail...it feels like they're already working behind the scenes on my behalf and that they really care.
at peace - that God's got me and this whole situation in the palm of His hand.
anxious - to get there and get it over with already! ;)
comforted - knowing that even if this trip doesn't result in my feeling better, that God has promised that He'll never leave us or forsake us and that He'll carry us through, come what may. I know this to be true already because He's been carrying us through this for the last couple of years. I would be a mess without His presence in my life!
hungry - for pizza. The kind with gluten. And dairy. Hahaaa!
I've included some photos that I snapped around our yard not too long ago, because let's face it.....every blog post is better with pretty photos! ;)
I'll keep you posted when I know anything, but in the meantime, I hope you're having a beautiful day and thank you SO much for praying for us!! It means so much more to us than you'll ever know!
See you back here tomorrow for Day 1 of the Papertrey Countdown!
much, much love,
